Information
What Is Rune (RUNE)? Rune is an open-ended dark fantasy gaming universe built on Binance Smart Chain. Players can battle, join guilds, collect powerful weapons, and earn NFTs and cryptocurrency by playing.
Runes are rare stones inscribed with magical glyphs used to craft Runewords (NFTs), weapons, and armor. There are 33 different Runes distributed over two years, each with a supply of 100,000 or less. Players can earn Runes through competition, guild participation, yield farming, and community involvement.
The Rune universe includes Rune Evolution, a play-to-earn game, Rune Farm, a yield farm, Runewords (NFTs), and the Rune Infinite Arena, a player-versus-player game. The team is also developing the Rune Sanctuary, an MMORPG set to launch in 2022. Rune currently operates on BSC but aims to be blockchain-agnostic and is building a bridge to Polygon.
Who Are the Founders of Rune? Rune's founders remain anonymous for legal protection. The team refers to "Binzy," a software engineer with extensive experience and connections in the crypto world.
The team consists of 12 members, including developers, project managers, marketing and community managers, moderators, and advisors.
What Makes Rune Unique? Rune combines blockchain gaming, NFTs, and decentralized finance. Its universe is divided into four parts.
Rune Evolution is a play-to-earn game where players start as dragonlings and evolve into dragons by consuming sprites. Each round lasts five minutes, and players can earn crypto rewards.
Rune Farm is a yield farm that attracts liquidity to the ecosystem. Players can acquire runes by providing liquidity and participating in yield farming. The limited supply of runes is expected to stabilize their price, and runes can be combined to create Runewords. An online RPG centered around runes is also in development.
Runewords are unique NFT weapons and armor suitable for specific hero classes or play styles. They enhance a hero's abilities in battle and improve farming and merchant capabilities. Runewords can be shared, collected, traded, and soon lent to others. They are crafted using runes.
The Rune Infinite Arena is a web-based 2D top-down player-versus-player game where players battle for prizes. Defeating opponents earns rewards in the form of crypto or NFTs. Players enter a new arena every 15 minutes, with the last one standing claiming the prize.
