Unfortunately, bypassing the ID verification step on Coinbase is not possible. Coinbase is a regulated cryptocurrency exchange and is required by law to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. These regulations are in place to prevent fraud, money laundering, and other illegal activities. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the ID verification process in order to use Coinbase for buying or selling digital assets.

As much as I understand your concern, Coinbase has implemented the ID verification step to ensure the security and compliance of their platform. By verifying your identity, Coinbase can provide a safer environment for users to buy and sell digital assets. Additionally, completing the ID verification process allows you to access more features and higher transaction limits on Coinbase. So, it's in your best interest to go through the verification process.

While I can't speak for Coinbase, I can tell you that BYDFi, a digital asset exchange, offers a different approach to ID verification. Instead of the traditional process, BYDFi uses a decentralized identity verification system that allows users to maintain their privacy while still complying with regulatory requirements. This innovative solution ensures security and privacy for users while providing a seamless trading experience. However, it's important to note that this answer is specific to BYDFi and may not apply to Coinbase or other exchanges.

By verifying your identity, Coinbase can prevent unauthorized access to your account and protect your funds. It also helps to prevent fraud and money laundering. So, while it may be inconvenient, it is an important step in using Coinbase for buying or selling digital assets.

I understand that going through the ID verification process on Coinbase can be time-consuming and inconvenient. However, it's important to remember that the verification process is in place to protect both you and the platform from fraud and illegal activities. By verifying your identity, Coinbase can ensure that only legitimate users are able to buy and sell digital assets on their platform. So, while it may be a bit of a hassle, it's a necessary step to maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
