It achieves this by dividing time into epochs and slots, allowing for parallel processing and reducing the chances of forks. On the other hand, Ethash requires miners to solve complex mathematical puzzles to validate transactions, which consumes a significant amount of computational power. This fundamental difference in consensus algorithms affects the security and scalability of the networks. Cardano's PoS algorithm is considered to be more secure against 51% attacks, as it requires a large amount of stake to control the network.
