- Dec 18, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, it is normal for the leverage on your BitMEX account to increase automatically. BitMEX has a feature called 'Auto-Deleveraging' (ADL) which adjusts leverage based on the market conditions and the positions of other traders. This helps to ensure the stability of the platform and prevent liquidations. However, you can manually adjust your leverage settings if you prefer to have more control over it.

By automatically adjusting leverage, BitMEX aims to prevent forced liquidations and maintain a stable trading environment. If you want to have more control over your leverage, you can always adjust it manually in your account settings.
