- Nov 24, 2021 · 3 years agoAs of my knowledge, Kraken is not available for residents of New York due to regulatory restrictions. The New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) has implemented the BitLicense, which requires cryptocurrency exchanges to obtain a license to operate in the state. Unfortunately, Kraken has not obtained this license, and therefore, residents of New York cannot use their services. It is advisable to explore alternative exchanges that are compliant with the BitLicense if you are located in New York.
- Nov 24, 2021 · 3 years agoUsing Kraken in New York is currently not possible. The state of New York has implemented strict regulations for cryptocurrency exchanges, and Kraken has chosen not to operate in the state due to these regulations. If you are a resident of New York, you will need to find another exchange that is authorized to operate in the state.

However, I would recommend reaching out to Kraken's customer support for the most up-to-date information on their availability in New York. They may have made changes to their operations or obtained the necessary licenses to operate in the state since my last knowledge update. It's always best to get information directly from the source.
